Fall Mega Blog

Hudson, Brian and Kelley flew out to Chicago in November, then drove down to Indianapolis to meet Nanna and Brian's Grandparents. Got to stay with Aunt Gail, Uncle Steve, and cousin Kristen's house. Drove over to Grandparent's place a few times a day for some nice visits.

Hudson took his supply of toys everywhere he went. Roaming the hallways looking for his Great Grandparents here.

Great Granddad enjoyed seeing Hudson play with truck and cows.

Great Grandma made Hudson a couple back up blankie squares. Already came in handy once since then when he lost main pair for a day.

Nanna got Hudson a baby for early Christmas present, which we named Baby.

Enjoying he's favorite candy (rolos) with Great Grandma

We went to Aquarium when we first got to Chicago, then Museum of Science and Industry on the way back. Hudson was too excited to be captured by still photography. Here's the best we got...

back at home... Hudson got to play with our half broken old digital camera. He seemed to think you had to jam the lens into your nose to make it work. After playing for 10 mins it was a completely broken camera

playing in his toy box

Kelley and Hudson took a long weekend to go see Kelley's brother Ian and his family in Kennewick, WA. They had a big snow a few days earlier, so the kids got to make an icey-snow man.

Hudson may have finally found something too cold for his teeth

Hudson, Rowan and Niev (and snowman)

Put up the Christmas tree finally. Hudson was really excited to see the lights and help with ornaments.

Helping put the traditional mfjac star on top.

YEAH! Now it's officially a Christmas tree.

Made a fun fort with Mom

Kelley's Grandma Roberts sewed Hudson a fun pillow case. For the most part he uses his pillow when sleeping now.

raking leaves with dad

learning to say some colors

playing some drums. note how he counts off by hitting drum sticks together before playing

helping to set the presents under the tree was big time fun. so far he hasn't opened any yet, but calvin was chewing on the wrapping paper.

Halloween

Hudson and Kelley went to pumpkin patch with playgroup. Hudson had fun running around, seeing animals, riding tractor (favorite part) and of course picking out a pumpkin.

Hudson and Brian were in charge of carving the pumpkins. Hudson did a good job scooping out the guts.

One of newest games to play is blanket fort on the couch. His made up sign for "fort" is point two fingers up.

Just like the cats, he likes to stand on the chest and look out the window.

Halloween afternoon putting on his puppy costume (sewn by nana)

Went to playgroup that afternoon (dad's got to go too). A very wild house with all the kids dressed up. Hudson was the cutest of course.

Back home lighting the pumpkins on the porch

A little too excited to be holding the lighter...
Ready to go with his pail for candy. We put a few in to get him going...

He made it to the bottom of the driveway before sitting down to try and eat the candy
We went to 4 or 5 houses. Once Hudson realized they would give him candy he was in to it.
Excited to eat his chocolate!

Hudson's favorite part of the night was probably trick-or-treaters that came to our door. He'd run to the door to look at them, watch us give out candy, then climb onto the chest to watch them out the window. All in all a very fun Halloween!

steering wheel project

finally finished up hudson's toy dashboard. fancy painting by gramma buh, rest of stuff by brian with a touch of kelley help. he's very american in his driving so far... always multitasking with a bottle of milk or a stuffed cat on the steering wheel.

idea is the have him store his matchbox cars inside. we'll see

name this ferrari... it was inspiration for some of the dash

here's hudson getting to play with steering wheel for the first time. he just woke up from a nap so a little groggy...
