Bob Lob Law Blog: July 2010

Brian had lots of fun with his Andrew, Matt and Rob (old roomates from NC State days) coming out for a long weekend. Hudson had lots of fun with them too, he enjoyed the loudness of the house. We worked on getting him to say Kaka (Brazilian soccer player and fun word to say) for his next word, but no luck while they were out here. Think he might have said it yesterday, so there's still hope.

We've been slacking on taking pictures recently. Rob and Andrew have some good ones on their cell phones... but they are lame and haven't emailed them to us yet.

he likes to make a toothy grin these days when you tell him to smile for the camera. note the blue colored skin under his nose, that would be crayon.

kelley took hudson to some play place with her mom group where he had lots of fun playing with new toys and climbing around on inflatable bouncy things

and here's recent video of him dancing to some U2. of course we only got him to dance on camera to the U2 song we like least. but still he has good taste in bands.

this blog is a long time coming, so it contains snippets of things that we've done for the last month or so. in looking at pics to choose, it seems that we have had a busy busy month!

hudson has been alternately into coloring with crayons and just playing with the crayons. also, trying to sneak away with crayons as if mommy doesn't know what's going on.

had a couple of babies over to play in the backyard. hudson loves his waterpillar and his pool. yay for summer!

playgroup one week was at a great park in hillsboro that has a water area. hudson was shy at first, but once he decided he was going in, that was it! soaked to the bone!

rolled around on the floor for almost half an hour in his blankies. soooo happy!

dumped out all his musical instruments and decided to play the ukelele in the container.

went the the park with nanna. hudson was very happy working on his math skills.

we did some landscaping work in the yard and hudson was a big help. luckily, nanna bought him his own set of yard tools so he can now help daddy with his chores.

went to the zoo with nanna. she bought hudson a cute little wolf harness so that hudson can walk around and not just be stuck in the stroller. he loves it.

the zoo is having a dinosaur exhibit which is very cool. this is us in front of the giganotosaurus. awesome!

after the zoo, we went to the rose garden. hudson was so excited to see baby squirrels. he desperately wanted to pick it up and carry it around.

finally figured out how to pull along his little puppy. thinks it's soooo funny if mommy or daddy runs around the house with it.

before we went to victoria, canada, we stopped at brian's uncle mark and aunt paula's house in port angeles, washington. hudson was so happy to get to play with their dog, teddy. we think teddy was happy too.

went to the butchart gardens while there and hudson got to go on his very first carousel ride. he was very focused, which means he was very happy. and he was none too pleased when we had to pry his little fingers from the pole to get him off!
