baby #2....

kelley's almost 22 weeks. ultra sound today... and baby #2 is a boy! hurray for saving on clothes!

Hudson turns 2

Hudson had a 2nd birthday party with his friends from play group. lots of wild kids running around the house, with a little bit of birthday cupcakes mixed in.


wasn't too happy about happy birthday song until he got to blow out candle and eat cake...

nanna always says we need to get down to the floor when taking pictures... to be on their level. so here you go nanna.


hudson's big present from mom and dad was a train table. where will we put this in our tiny house? the plan is that it takes place of hudson's crib.



as if he knew we were going to move his crib out after his birthday, he finally started sleeping in the big boy bed on saturday. so far so good....

next stop: florida

took a trip to fort myers beach, FL to meet up with nanna, granddad, uncle ross and aunt jill. was really nice to see the sun and have temp above 50 degrees. it's been a long winter....


hudson jumped right into the sand digging. took a little longer to be brave enough to walk into the ocean. first day barely got feet wet, by the end of the trip he was running in.

playing catch in the water, finally started learning to catch the ball by end of the trip. still some work to do on throwing.





mommy is always watching...

water wasn't quite warm enough to jump in early in the week. by end of the week it started warming up, but no one took the full plunge.

heated swimming pool worked though for getting into the water all the way.

last day we stopped by uncle mark and aunt paula's house (nanna's brother and sister in law). hudson enjoyed the big fish tank.
most of all he enjoyed playing chase with their dog Teddy



jumping around in time, we had an early birthday for hudson complete with messy cupcakes. a lot less messy than his first birthday.

teaching hudson about sticks. next up: throwing little rocks at bigger rocks.

does this blog thing still work?

long time no blog. busy with family visits, vacations and birthdays, but that's all done so back to our blogging ways...

first up was a visit from gramma buh, uncle ian, aunt lora, and cousins niev and rowan. original plan was for ian and co to come and christmas, but that was defeated by hudson's cold and fever.

finally we got hudson a big boy bed which he was very excited about. unfortunately the first time he went down for a nap in it he pooped which made him wake up angry... and made him want to sleep in his crib. will he ever learn to use his big boy bed? stay tuned....


at least he was willing to fake sleep for a little while...
